ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Each year ATIE presents a scholarship to a rising junior or rising senior in industrial engineering or textiles, provided a suitable nominee is available. The scholarship is presented to the recipient at the conference banquet and an invitation is made to the recipient to address the group following the award.
Nominations will be solicited from the I.E. Department heads at Auburn, Clemson, North Carolina State, and Southern Polytechnic State Universities, and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Experience, studies and/or career plans in the textile industry are not a prerequisite for nomination. All nominations should be submitted to the Honors and Awards Chairman by November 15.
The criteria on which the scholarship and award shall be granted are:
- a. Scholastic ability
- b. Character
- c. Leadership
- d. Potential service to the industrial engineering profession
- e. Need for financial assistance (optional).
