MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS
Memberships are on an individual basis. There are five classes of membership:
- (a) A Senior member shall be a member of an industrial engineering department of a textile organization utilizing sound and acceptable industrial engineering principles.
- (b) Associate membership is for persons affiliated with education institutions and engineers with bona fide consulting firms or equipment manufacturers with specific interest or association with textile industrial engineering work.
- (c) Honorary membership is conferred on those who have previously been active members and have made a substantial contribution to the welfare of the association.
- (d) Affiliate members shall be persons who by scientific acquirement or practical experience have attained a position in some profession or branch of industry or science which qualified him/her to cooperate with industrial engineering, or a former Senior or Associate member who is no longer in textile industrial engineering work.
Example: Process Improvement Personnel
- (e) Student membership is for regularly enrolled students in a college or technical school with an interest in the textile industrial engineering profession.
HONORARY MEMBERS
Members who have made exceptional contributions to the advancement of the Association of Textile Industrial Engineers may be provided with honorary membership. Honorary members are afforded all privileges and rights of full membership. The Board of Directors must determine those who qualify for this honor.
| Student Membership: | $15.00 per year |
| All other members: | $60.00 per year payable in advance. Association year starts on March 1. |
