TEXTILE EXECUTIVE-OF-THE-YEAR

Each year at the spring meeting, ATIE presents an award to the individual selected for the Textile Executive-Of-The-Year honor, provided a suitable nominee is available.

Nominations for the Textile Executive-Of-The-Year Award are solicited from the membership to help the Board of Directors identify outstanding individuals who would be genuinely deserving of this recognition. It is the responsibility of the Board of Directors to select the nominee to receive the award.

Nominees should be members of management who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and who have contributed significantly to the advancement of industrial engineering in their operations. The nominee must indicate a willingness to accept the award, if selected.

Nominations should be submitted by December 1 of each year.

Recent recipients include:
  • 2000 - Willard Bullins (National Textiles)
  • 2002 - Cecil Moore (Sara Lee Intimate Apparel)
  • 2003 - Tom Borland (Coats North America)

ATIE DIRECTORS' AWARD

The Directors' award is given to a member of ATIE who has made outstanding contributions in the field of textile industrial engineering. Such contributions may be in the development of new methodologies, the outstanding application of I.E. principles and techniques and/or the significant advancement of industrial engineering in their operations and/or the textile industry.

Nominations are solicited from the membership and should be submitted by August 1.

Recent recipients include:

  • 1984 - Willard S. Palmer
  • 1985 - Alex S. Brown
  • 1990 - Warren T. Bowen
  • 1992 - Sam P. Gambrell
  • 1994 - Reginald W. Whitehurst, Jr.
  • 1997 - Donald L. Milligan
  • 2003 - Mickey Olsen

ATIE AWARD OF MERIT

This is an award to honor an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the field of textile industrial engineering, but is not a member of ATIE. Such contributions may be in the development of new methodologies, outstanding application of I.E. principles and techniques, training, and/or the significant advancement of industrial engineering in the operation of the industry.

Nominations are solicited from the membership and should be submitted by August 1.

Recent recipients include:
